A note about Cool Blue Shoes:
Kevin & I used to sit out on his patio to work on songs and this is where this track comes from. Kev showed me this song he was working on called Cool Blue Shoes. I later found out it was a song he and his band Secrets would jam as well. I pulled out my iPhone and recorded what you are hearing. It was recorded June 26th, 2012 which was a Tuesday. A few days later Kevin left us.
From Kevin's best friend Ron White:
Cool Blue Shoes was a groove we would play and jam on before we recorded a new song or at a soundcheck. This was our warm up rhythm track and we would play it at different tempos an genres, this is the blue groove, it is also one of those ideas we never really developed or recorded. Cool Blue Shoes was a statement my brother Maurice told me and Kev the first time I took him to Los Angeles. To look cool in California you had to wear a clean button down white shirt, a pair of blue jeans, a waistcoat or suit coat and a pair if cool blue shoes. It was the California hip dress up look. After that trip Kev and I would always wear cool blue shoes in the summertime.
